Questions
EDGE Grant: common questions
Figures checked on the official pages on 3 November 2026. Funding levels and eligibility are set by the agencies and can change.
What is the EDGE Grant?
The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore's single grant for business projects. It launched on 30 September 2026 and combines the former Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) and Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG). Those three stopped taking new applications when EDGE opened, and applications already submitted continue under their own scheme rules.
How much funding can I get?
It depends on the activity. For example, market entry set-up is supported up to 70% for SMEs and up to 50% for larger companies. An ERP for wholesale is supported up to 50% for SMEs, capped at S$22,500, and up to 30% for non-SMEs, capped at S$13,500. Across all activities one company can receive up to S$100,000 a year, and digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and selected automation share a S$30,000 sub-cap within that. Rates and caps from the old schemes do not carry over, so check the page for your activity. Enterprise Singapore: EDGE Grant FAQ
Who can apply?
A business registered and operating in Singapore, with at least 30% Singaporean and/or Singapore PR ownership. SMEs and larger companies can both apply, at different support levels. Some activities add conditions, for example digital solutions are not open to home-based businesses.
Can an ERP project be supported?
Integrated enterprise systems are an EDGE activity under Automation and Digitalisation. For the ERP activity we checked, the solution must come from the IMDA SMEs Go Digital list of pre-approved solutions, and the package built there must match the vendor's quotation exactly. Software costs are supported for up to 12 months, and GST and maintenance are not. Apstellar is not a pre-approved vendor on that list, so an Apstellar ERP build would not qualify under this route. Example: ERP for wholesale
Can AI agents or workflow automation be supported?
It depends on which EDGE activity the project fits and that activity's conditions. AI delivered as part of an integrated enterprise system may be assessed together with that system. Check the activity page for its conditions.
Can overseas expansion, such as entering Thailand, be supported?
Overseas set-up can be supported under internationalisation activities such as Market Entry Setup, up to 70% for SMEs and up to 50% for larger companies. It covers professional services such as entity incorporation (which includes setting up an overseas entity), drafting agreements, import and export licences, intellectual property, tax advisory and trade credit insurance. It does not cover domestic business generation, GST, investment activities such as investor sourcing, or travel, accommodation and staff costs. Market Entry Setup
Can I start the project or pay a vendor before applying?
No. You must not have started work, or paid any deposit to a supplier or vendor, before you submit the application. For the activities we checked, costs count from the application date once it is approved. A project that starts early can lose its eligibility, so check the conditions before you sign anything.
How do I apply, and can a consultant apply for me?
You apply on the Business Grants Portal with your company's Corppass. Third parties cannot apply on your behalf, so your company submits the application. After approval you accept the Letter of Offer, complete the project, pay in full and then claim. EDGE reimburses after you pay and does not pay in advance. Payment arrives about 14 working days after claim approval by PayNow Corporate, or up to eight weeks by GIRO. Projects must finish within 18 months of approval.
How long does approval take?
It varies by activity. Enterprise Singapore sets the timing.
Is approval guaranteed?
No. The agency decides.
Can two grants fund the same project?
Not for the same cost. Each scheme's terms say so. For example, the CTC Grant does not support items that already receive other government funding for the same project.
What is the difference between the EDGE Grant and the CTC Grant?
The EDGE Grant, from Enterprise Singapore, supports business projects such as systems, internationalisation and sustainability, up to S$100,000 a year per company. The CTC Grant, run by NTUC's e2i, supports transformation projects that come with training and worker outcomes, up to 70% of qualifying costs. Some companies use both for different parts of a project. CTC Grant questions
